Clothing:  Please bring suitable clothing for working outdoors on mountain bike trails. Good solid boots - preferably safety boots with certified toe protection

 

We will provide all tools and basic PPE

High visibility vests

Gloves

Eye protection

 

We have a selection of steel toed wellington boots available for you to borrow, extra thick hiking socks are recommended

 

Waterproof trousers and jacket are recommended. You may also want to bring a change of clothes so as to not sit in damp gear throughout the classroom sessions

You will require a good quality mountain bike maintained and in good working order, your bike must be suitable for the terrain you will be riding / inspecting.  In addition you will need cycle specific clothing suitable for the weather conditions predicted for the duration of your training, a cycle specific helmet with CE logo and date stamped to demonstrate to the instructor that it is no older that 5 years old

You should bring fluid and snacks for the riding sections of the course and basic spares to keep your bike rolling, included but not limited to:

Spare inner tube

Patch kit and or tubeless repair kit

Multi tool (allen keys, torques driver, chain breaker, screw driver tips - flat & posidrive/phillips)

Replacement chain quick link

First aid kit

Additional clothing in line with weather predictions
